E5Over Current Protection. Unplug for 10 minutes and then turn on the unit. If “E5” is still displayed, contact customer service.
H8The backup water tank is full. Drain the water tank.
F1The room air temperature sensor malfunction.. Please inform the maintenance man to maintain.
F2The tube temperature sensor malfunction. Please inform the maintenance man to maintain.

Troubleshooting

Problem: The Air Conditioner will not start

Possible Causes:

  1. The air conditioner is unplugged or not connected well.
  2. The fuse is blown/circuit breaker is tripped.
  3. Power Failure
  4. The current interrupter device is tripped.

Solutions:

  1. Make sure the air conditioner plug is pushed completely into the outlet
  2. Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box and replace the fuse or reset the breaker.
  3. The unit will automatically restart when power is restored.
  4. Press the RESET button located on the power cord plug.

Problem: The Air Conditioner does not cool as it should

Possible Causes:

  1. Airflow is restricted
  2. The temperature control may not be set correctly.
  3. The air filter is dirty
  4. The room may be too warm
  5. Cold air is escaping
  6. The Evaporator is frozen

Solutions:

  1. Make sure there are no curtains, blinds, or furniture blocking the front of the air conditioner.
  2. Lower the set thermostat temperature.
  3. Clean the filter. See the Cleaning and Care Section of the manual.
  4. Please allow time for the room to cool down after turning on the air conditioner.
  5. Check for open furnace registers and cold air returns.
  6. The unit is defrosting and will resume operation when done.

Problem: The Air Conditioner displays the Timer hours but does not work

Possible Causes: Is the TIMER ON enabled?

Solutions: Cancel the TIMER or wait until the unit turns on.

Problem: The Remote Control is not working

Possible Causes:

  1. The batteries are inserted incorrectly
  2. The batteries may be dead

Solutions:

  1. Check the position of the batteries.
  2. Replace the batteries.

Problem: The LCD Display is showing “E5”

Possible Causes: Low Voltage Protection

Solutions: Unplug for 10 minutes and then turn on the unit. If “E5” is still displayed, contact customer service.

Problem: The LCD Display is showing “H8”

Possible Causes: The backup water tank is full

Solutions:

  1. Drain the water tank
  2. If the “H8” I still displayed after the water tank has been emptied, contact customer service.
